Jumprings are a large group of essential elements for creating jewelry. They are made of various thicknesses of sterling silver wire without nickel, with different internal and external diameters. Their primary role is to connect individual parts of the created accessory, so this diversity allows you to freely match the components. The thin open jump ring presented in the photo is a piece with an internal diameter of 5 mm and a thickness of 0.7 mm. Its name relates to the possibility of bending and clamping in order to:
- connecting the clasp with the bracelet or necklace,
- combining the lobster clasp with the pendant to make a charm,
- attaching pendants such as a connector to chains or strings to create necklace and bracelet,
- mounting the pendant on earwires or stud earrings to create long or dandling earrings.
The jump rings are available in one of several options of galvanic coating, thanks to which they will be perfect for creating, for example, multi-colored, impressive chainmaille jewelry. In this technique, which goes back many centuries, all jewelry, except the clasp, is composed of circles joined together on the basis of various weave patterns.
